High price for a 1.5 HP saw.

There are at least 3 Powermatic model 66 saws for sale in
L.A. for about the same price. I’ve never owned a Unisaw
or a model 66, but most cabinetmakers in the know would
go Powermatic given the choice.

I believe the Unisaw has a Delta-only motor mount which
means you can’t just upgrade it with any used 3HP motor
later, you have to spend like $400 on the Delta OEM.

Powermatic has a less fussy mount and can take a wider
range of motors with less hassle I think.

There are plenty of used cabinet saws in the Los Angeles
areas. I see them advertised all the time. Prices start
at around $400.

The sliding table is a nice feature and they run on
regular house current.
