I suppose you will restore these items? If you don’t know about electrolysis for rust removal, I highly recommend to learn about it. I have restored a whole bunch of Swan chisels that I got for little $ on ebay, and most of them look like new now. It will also prevent you from hours of sanding and grinding… give it a try and good luck :) Below a before and after picture of a shopsmith arbor that I restored with electrolysis and a bit of sanding and polishing, probably in not much more than 30 minutes:
