I have a follow-up question if anyone is still following this thread:

On the Maloof-style rockers, how high does the tip of the rear leg extend beyond the top of the headrest? I was thinking maybe 3 inches, but didn’t know if this was a bit excessive. I’d like to get it pretty close now when the leg isn’t glued to anything – material removal is much easier now than later.
