This is an example of the other direction, jobs and technology leaving the U.S.A.!

I am glad that Delta staying put as yesterday I found outthe company (deliberately left unnamed) I worked for (27 years) sold the automotive electronics parts plant to BAIN Capitol a number of years ago and yesterday the employees in that plant started training Chinese workers as the entire plant will be moved to China. This is bad blow to a city of 30,000 and falling.

The time I worked there the CEOs were all “home grown” and the company was expanding all over Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin, and Ashville North Carolina. Early in the ‘90’s the parent company decided that “home grown” CEOs were not what they wanted and brought in a company man.

His nickname, we found out later, was Neutron Ray as he got rid of all the people but left the buildings in tact. In less than 10 years the company went from a high of 4500 to less than 1500 and now less than 900. I left in 1995 and I am glad I did.

Why did I write this? I guess I was a little PO at the company for screwing the employees and the city that gave it a home for over 75 years!
