I can’t speak for the Ryobi planer, as I have no experience with it. But I do own the Rigid 4331, and it is a very good planer. Snipe is almost nonexistent, it has decent power, and it produces an excellent surface finish. I did have a little trouble getting replacement blades, as they seemed to be out of stock for a long time last year, but I was only looking for them as a backup set. The original blades are holding up well. Chip ejection and dust control are pretty good. One thing to look out for with a used planer; check the blades by running a board or two through. If they have nicks or are obviously dull, figure that into your offer. |
