We’ve tracked the global food harvest via satellite with amazing precision since the mid 1970’s using TIROS-class weather satellites built and launched by NASA. Food crops are planned and coordinated from this information. This feat alone ensures that food production is globally coordinated so there is enough of each needed crop to feed all of our populations. These platforms are largely unchanged still today. The problem is politcal, not technological and not financial. -- "Hard work is not defined by the difficulty of the task as much as a person's desire to perform it.", DS251 |
