WTF are you talking about benchbuilder? The whole Curiosity project cost less than a single day of our unnecessary military incursion into Iraq and there was nothing destructive about it. We didn’t kill anyone, didn’t risk a single life of a member of our military. The Mars landing was the result of our education system and some incredibly bright people working as a team seeking only to further our knowledge. I watched the variety of people; men, women, different races and different ages at JPL do what many thought impossible not very long ago. We can easily afford this kind of effort to advance mankind’s knowledge and it doesn’t have a damn thing to do with big government. It’s about some really intelligent people pursuing their dreams and pushing limits in a positive way. It represents all that I find great about this Country.
