I really shouldn’t tell this on myself, but, oh well, it’s a worthy cause. A number of years ago (too many to linger on) I made some double bi-fold doors for a small closet in my home. I was really proud when I had them finished. When I set them in place to mount the hinges, it didn’t take a real observant person to realize that they were a foot (yes. A foot as in 12”) too short. After many choice words I kicked myself back to the shop to remake them (at that time I didn’t have a door stretcher). I diligently went back to work to remake them and did a fine job (I thought). When putting them in place the second time, I quickly discovered that I had made the same mistake again. There is a happy ending. I got it right on the third try.
