I have the 6” Jet and it is fine for what I do. Every now and then I wish for a longer bed. The one upgrade I cannot wait to make though is to the carbide toothed cutters rather than the HSS blades. The Jet does have the 90 degree and 45 degree stops built in and it is easy to adjust the fence, etc.

The dust port is crap though and unless you have a continuous vacuum hooked up you get a lot of dust blowing out the top and down the fence where you want to place your work. I never had that on my old deWalt planer which was not a cabinet style.
