Take a look at . I believe the pages are germane to your discussion. You are not providing all the info to needed to get the advice you’re seeking.

What kind of wood will you be re-sawing (with your 1/2” or 3/4” blade)? How good of a finish are you expecting (i.e. more TPI will give you smoother cut, but will reduce your feed rates etc….) the material is important, the quality of the cut is important to help make a good selection. Also, what are you using the 1/4 blade for: band saw boxes, ripping thin boards or just a general purpose blade.

Be a bit more specific and I do believe that the experts here can give you the answers you are looking for.
