I concur with the kindly attitude towards spiders.

Karma, you know.

A friend stayed at my place and was killing spiders and
complaining about spider bites. I told her “I don’t kill
them and they don’t bite me”... which is pretty much
true as far as I can tell.

You can discourage them by knocking down their webs.
Being pragmatic creatures they sometimes move to new
territory.
