Oh yeah, and so I was meeting with the guy in a parking lot. He shows me print outs of other tools he listed. I seen a delta cabinet saw with a 52” fence he wanted 500.00. It looked clean and I believed it was a unisaw, since it looked near identical to my own Unisaw when viewing the photograph. So I asked, “is that a 3 hp saw?” and the fellow stated he believed so and that it could only be ran 220. I then stated “if you would take 350 cash I will buy it now”. He agreed and advised me to follow him to his home to view the saw.

Upon looking the saw over it appeared nice and clean, good shape. I did immediately observe some key differences in the saw’s appearance from the actual Unisaw. I quickly realized it was not a Unisaw, but rather a saw Delta had manufactured (with a 2 hp motor) that was known back in the 80’s as the “Unisawwannabe”. It was basically a contractor saw in a cabinet. I informed the gentleman that the saw was not what I thought it was and that I was not going to be interested. I encouraged him though as he had a decent deal because the 52” fence itself was worth a decent amount.

Now I find my wheels spinning in my head as I believe the 350.00 cost on that saw is a decent price and the fence is a very good deal. Considering the saw is in good condition I am considering possibly purchasing the saw from the fellow. He did tell me if I changed my mind to let him know.

Thanks for looking all.
