I have an HF unit and a separator. In 4 years, I’ve had no problems and it has plenty of power. I use it on one machine at a time and move the hose from machine to machine.
The micron size of the collector bags is of no concern to me. I vent it outside. Nearest neighbor is over 1/4 mi. away. But, very little dust gets past my separator, anyway.
