If it were in a restaurant, I would say it was for women to hang their handbags on – and I would be thankful for them as I always hate putting my bag on the floor.

It looks a bit like a card table, so if they were wider, I might’ve guessed they were to hold drinks while playing, but they are too small for that, by far.

In general, it must be to hang something or lean something against – maybe for crutches in a hospital?
