Nib – I asked someone to take a look at your pics, this is what came back:

‘It’s a Chaplin’s Patent, sold by Tower & Lyon.
It’s a mid-production model, made between the earliest iron knob and tote models and the improved model.’

Sounds english, and gives you a place to research further!
