As Loren says, if the trim will be painted, having good knot free wood is all that matters. If the trim is to be finshed to show off the wood, mixing woods seems odd but as long as the grains harmonize it’s probably not a problem. These two woods are about the same color. Still, I would prefer all pieces to be the same wood.
