James Krenov wrote that he’d get worn out band saw mill blades
and cut them up for scrapers. He probably only had to get one
in his whole career, but the point was made.

I have a no. 80 I found at a yard sale or something and it had
no blade. I cut a regular Sandvik scraper in half and used
that. The other half I made one or two curved scrapers
for mouldings from. The Sandvik was the right width…
2.75” or something.
