Overall, that is a pretty decent compressor. I have had good luck with reconditioned pneumatics, both using and selling (I mainly use a reconditioned Porter Cable pancake purchased for ~$90). It will be a significant step up from the little HF you are using now, but as NW mentioned, not great for spraying. Any oil-less is going to be loud and heat up quickly if run very much.

In an ideal world, I would get one of the low rpm compressors from Makita, but that would be a significant increase in cost. For $80, this is a good buy. Double check on the warranty, just in case. Usually 1 year for most recon, but I don’t recall if Hitachi has the same.
