I find this kind of information fascinating, so I massaged the lists you provided to learn what I could.

The LumberJocks website “Location” field is un-editted text, not data. People can (and do) put anything they like into that field. About 43% of the time, its either blank or provides no useful information. Still, the remainder provides some interesting tidbits.

There are LumberJocks in 93 countries. The top 10 are:

USA 10713
Canada 769
England 179
Australia 169
South Africa 43
New Zealand 39
Ireland 33
China 28
Belgium 27
France 27

Of course, the US and Canada have the most LumberJocks. Top 5 states in the US are:

CA 897
TX 821
NY 498
FL 464

Top three provinces in Canada are:

Ontario 284
British Columbia 158
Alberta 92

I’m sure there’s lots more to learn here. Wish there was an easy way to “download” the members list as data whenever we wanted. It’s be nice to get updated stats once a year or so.
