That little tool to help you change paper is handy in that it not only lifts the clip, but holds the paper to the drum at the same time. It is not essential but I use mine on both my Jet and my bigger Craftsman every time I change paper. The Jet paper will work fine but it is MUCH cheaper to cut your own strips from bulk rolls. I buy the 50 yard rolls from Supergrit: good quality and GOOD service.
