I have the griz 1023 just bought in the past couple months, I love it. I had a bad kickback incident, scared my face and put a hole in my check. The main reason for the upgrade was the riving knife on this unit. Moves up and down. I leave it in all the time. Would never look back. I know its only a precaution but it makes a big difference. Also in the 1023 the trunnions are huge, no vibration and quiet. The are aided going up and down with a hydralic piston like in a door with really helps manuver the weight up and down. also another benifit is the trunnion is on a dovetail slide so measuring in the middle of the blade is the top of the cut height no movement like in the older pendulum swing style. hope this helps.
