Thank you for the kind words. When I was in Forestry School getting my Masters, I was a teaching assistant for the Wood ID class. I guess that some of that knowledge stuck! Also, I am an avid woodworker. Since I have the sawmill, I get to saw and see up close all kinds of hardwood. Seeing wood over and over again is what it takes to understand the key diagnostic features.
