Honestly, I’m not too hung up on specific brands. It seems manufactures do good with some tools and not so well with others. I love my Jet 1642evs lathe, but have mixed emotions about my Jet mortiser.

In the 14” band saw arena, it seems the Powermatic is a pretty safe bet, but I would like to spend less than the price of a new one.

I’ve put a call in about the Jet here just to see what I can learn about it. I’ll pass on the information.

Bill, $700 for a C’man RAS!!! That would have to be at least as ‘special’ as this Jet band saw for $1,400.
