In my experience, the only person who puts a disclaimer in a craigslist ad that says “I am not expert, these may not be what’s in those articles” is a guy who knows darn well they are not the same planes. Get some photos, and do some research before you drive very far…

Good used hand planes are easy to find. If these are a good deal once you see them, great. But don’t be too quick to buy a set of door stops. There are lots more out there!

With that said, I just emailed the guy and offered him $101. (Just kidding)
