I didn't know where to put this, but seeing things are slow, I thought I'd just throw it out and see what your woodworking dreams are. What's that thing you want to make that you've never made before? Maybe you think it's beyond your skill set, or you don't have the right tools to do it. What ever it is, let us hear about it.

Mine is to create pieces like this.
Wood Rectangle Flooring Floor Composite material

^can I borrow yours? :) That table is magnificent. I have it bad…admitted…but I immediately thought of what a nice workbench that slab would make. It's gorgeous.

My dream / goal in woodworking since i started a few years ago is to build a Maloof Rocker. I think its the true test of a woodworker. So many intricate joints and details, id love to build and own one someday. Interesting Post RP.

All of these I would want to do in a mix of Walnut and Maple, I know not exactly the style of mission, but it intrigues me. The last one, the blanket chest would be a series of them. 2 narrower and taller to act as sofa end tables, one made substantially wider to act as a game cabinet / coffee table, and then 1 made in oiled and waxed pine to match the master bedroom furnishings.

And lastly, something every living room needs…

Me and Charlie are dead ringers for style taste. I'd make that tambour secretary out of a different wood but PA highboys and secretaries are my stuff of dreams.

The project I am hanging on the edge of my seat and wallet to make right now is

Dr. White's Chest

from the book titled

How To Build Shaker Furniture written by Thomas Moser

It's an enormous case piece that can hold most of the necessities of clothes etc.
It's just huge and balanced. You can check it out online at his business site or in the book hardcover or kindle version.

My dream would be to finish my shop exactly like I have designed it, finish the remodel of the kitchen/dining/gathering room and build the original design dining room table I have planed to go in there. Only thing holding me back is no time and no money; otherwise, I'm ready to go.

I would like to build something, anything…that I can look back on in a few yrs and think I did a good job. Now, and probably in the future too, when I look at a project, I see the "flaws" first. Guess that is not the best way to see things, but it is my reality. Good topic Russell.

My dream is to finish my shop setup, then complete my first project from my shop. A flag case for my father's burial flag. It will be a gift to my mother.
