I’ve got the same questions regarding woods to use where and when so I’ll keep an eye on this. Lately I’ve been wondering why people waste the money on pressure treated or imitation woods for kids’ playgrounds when black locust sells so much cheaper and seems to last just as long without the chemicals involved. Just a matter of availability? If so, and locust grows fast, why don’t companies grow it for the purpose rather then pine?
