Len, thanks so much for the input.I am glad i helped clear the muck. I worked very hard on the review and felt it was a good review. it was the largest review we have ever done and it was a load of fun having all the machines together is a blast.

John Don’t be hasty on ousting the jet in the every day user it is not a bad machine. It just doesn’t measure up to the Tormek. Mostly because the motor is weak. I am looking into adding a bigger motor to my jet to see if that is a solution for the lack of power. However we did figure out that you can turn up the speed and increase the torque a bit and it wont stall as bad. However under pressure it still bogs down but it is not a reason to oust the unit if you already have it. You could continue to gather up Tormek jigs and books and make due till you can afford to get the real deal and it will work. It came in third in our review because it bogged down and i had to have something to judge them on as they were all well built. I still have the jet and i do use it from time to time to continue my testing over the long term. I will be writing individual reviews of these machines to aid in the archive search to help our website out, but all in all i would not jump to sell it off,for it will do a fine job on turning tools and a great job if you opt for the tormek turning jigs which i liked more than the jet jigs.
