The best knives I bought for mine were branded “Titan” and I got them from Holbren’s for $45 (as I recall, this was quite a few years ago). Sharpening costs can vary from 50ยข to $1.00 an inch for the cutting edge, so check before you leap. Mine is a 22-680 (bought 11 years ago) and it has the rollers for infeed/ outfeed…I seriously doubt they are superior to to the melamine that was on the earlier models. Don’t get wrapped up in the various model numbers, a Delta 15” is essentially the same planer regardless….the model numbers seem to indicate minor changes like the infeed/outfeed, color of the paint, and other such stuff. Changing and adjusting those knives isn’t that hard…remember to tilt the motor forward.
