If you are building a shop door, it doesn’t have to be pretty, just functional. Since you already have a window, I’d lay it on the bench and build a door around it. I’d use treated two by eights or tens for rails and stiles, What ever it takes to fill up the door frame. For actual door construction ideas, watch some old westerns. They had some doors with windows, and they were simply made but stronger than any wood door you can buy today. If you are worried about security, you can put all the extra bracing that you want on the inside, and put seven dead bolts on it, too. You can put as much money as you want into it. I can’t give you a detailed plan, I don’t work that way, anyhow. I tend to just pull it out of my ass as I go along. It works for me. I am positive that I could take your window and less than $50 in lumber and hardware, and build a perfectly seviceable door. It probably wouldn’t be too terribly ugly, either. I’ve been building things out of the scrap pile for years, either out of necessity, or because i had something in the way, that was to good to throw out, and I made up a use for it, like your window. It’s really no big deal. You can do anything want. This doesn’t even sound that hard. Good luck.

-- I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you. I'm sorry, thanks.
