I agree….cut it up for firewood…. If lightening got it, and it looks like it did, it’s probably busted thru and thru. I had lightening hit a huge oak in my yard some years back, and burnt all the bark off of one side…That dude was BLACK. It was probably about 250-300 hundred years old, and about 42” in diameter. I had to have it took down, and cut it up for firewood…..I probably got about 3—-4 cords of wood from it (?). That was about 3 years ago, and I’m still burning wood today…..It’s good and dry…...:)
