Thanks guys. I actually had done a bit of research on my own and found a few selections but was throwing it out to you guys too. I also asked on the LJ sister site Home Refurbishers but got no results there. Must be an inactive site since the first page of forum replies dates back to 50+ days ago. But I ended up buying a few today from barnesandnoble.com. I got the Complete Book of Home Inspection by Norman Becker and Inspecting a House by Rex Cauldwell. I also got The Real Wood Bible by Nick Gibbs, Building with Secondhand Stuff by Chris Peterson, and Taunton’s Complete Illustrated Guide to Woodworking. I see that Mike Holmes’ other show Holmes Inspection is having a book come out in a few weeks specifically regarding Home Inspections. I think I might pick it up then. And Howie I don’t necessarily need a how to guide yet (though maybe later on I might need to extend my skills), I mostly want to know as much as possible before and during the actual inspection because outside of carpentry and common sense I don’t know much regarding many home inspection topics. -- It's made of wood.
