Thanks for the info. I ended soaking the blade in paint thinner which probably didn’t help much. Then I used squared off popsicle sticks to get the gunk off (60 teeth, four surfaces each). It took about 15 minutes. There was a lot of crud. I then found that alcohol was pretty good for getting the residue of of the blade body itself.

Moral of the story: Clean the blade more often, avoid pine, find something to soak it in that will do most of the work.

Oh yeah and I can bare witness to the fact that those tips are still sharp !
