I have been researching all different brands table saws,It might just be me,but doesn't Shop Fox and Grizzly look a lot alike? Are they made in the same place?
Shop Fox and Grizzly are sister companies. Their equipment is often not identical, but pretty close. No doubt the things are made in the same factories.
Yes .they are . However BEWARE OF THE BEAR. Grizzly tools are affordable alternatives. I would stay away if possible. When investing in a tool you should consider resale. Grizzly does not warrantee anyone but the original owner EVEN if it is a manufactures defect. This will affect your resale considerably. So choose wisely.

IMO Saw stop is the way to go if you can swing it. Great saw build like tank, safer, and great resale.
Trapshter, while you have a point, also keep in mind the WWer on a budget: you can get a G1023RL for less than half the price of a comparable Delta/Powermatic/SawStop and, depending on your local market, not a heck of a lot more than a well-cared-for used Unisaw. You start to hit diminishing returns pretty quickly.
I own 5 powermatic 66 tablesaws, some dating back 25 years, and one grizzly slider from about 4 years ago. This grizzly is the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased. The quality of your saw affects the quality of your product. If you are in business, there is no savings from buying a cheaper inferior product
I got a 3 HP General International cabinet saw through amazon for $1200. It was shipped from Taiwan to my front door FREE! I have been very pleased over the 18 months of use.
Depends on your budget and what kind of use your going to give it. A production shop will wear out a grizzly much fast than say a Powermatic or Saw stop. I have a lot of Grizzle tools and they have done a good job for me but my table saw is a Powermatic 66.
Which models are you looking at? (budget, type, etc would be useful too) You'll get more specific advice on individuals models…otherwise, the info is just generalizations.
I too am looking for a table saw. In my case, I've narrowed to either hybrid or contractor style since I'd prefer to not make it an electrical project (220 vs 110) as well. The more reviews I read, the less I'm sure about anything. I thought I had narrowed it down to eithe the newest Jet Proshop hybrid with riving knife (just released this week) and now am actually looking at a Powermatic contractor saw, I believe this may also be new with the riving knife. It is an aweful lot to wrap your head around all of the details and for every opinion, there are several contrary opinions. Good luck. And if you are looking in the same style as me, let the forum know and I too will be carefully watching the comments.
a1Jim may have a good point about industrial settings wearing out Grizzlies faster than us hobby WW'rs. I do not know. However, I would think that us hobby WW'rs don't buy and use any/all of the high-end Grizzly stuff either (like $15-25,000 lathes and the like). I could be wrong, but that level is way beyond what I do and will remain so as far as I can tell. I am under the impression that Grizzly DOES make some really good machines, but those machines are NOT at the bottom entry-level price tag of many/most of us hobby WW'rs. Just my 2-cents…
RJ - Jet has just released a new Proshop line with riving knives…708492, 493, 494, etc., to replace the 708480, 481, 482, etc…the various models indicate differences like the wing material and rip capacity, but the base saw is the same on each.
I have the new delta unisaw with 5hp that is a little over kill but the price was to good to pass up. I would not trade it for any other table saw
