As for the SawStop saws “jumping” or “rocking” when the brake is fired, um, no. Especially not with their cabinet saws, just not gonna happen.
The ONLY saw they make that I think would even have the remote possibility, is their contractor saw with the roll-around base.

I have seen three (3) SawStop deoms now, all live and in person, video taped them all on my Canon 12mp digital camera with a tripod, and 2 of the demos were done using the contractor saw with the standard 4 legged base. Not once did the saw move or jump at all.

I just watched the videos, and neither type of saw moves. I even watched it frame by frame on a 42” HD TV, nothing. The last 2 videos I had the entire saw in frame too.

Personally, that would be the last thing on my mind if I had the money to afford one. I would much rather have the protection, even if only 75% of the time (due to cutting wet wood, etc).

Anyway, if I’m cutting wet wood or anything that may have other crap in it, I’m doing so on the bandsaw with a cheap blade. Safer, and cost less to replace a $15 bandsaw blade than my $50-$100 TS blade.
