Dullness sneaks up just like age, five years is a long time between sharpening unless the saw is a till queen. How long do your chisels and planes stay sharp? Saw plates are softer metal than either. Get a saw file and set, buy or make a saw vice and have at it….Even a poorly sharpened saw will cut better than a dull one as long as the set is even.
