Start simple. Buy just what you need. I started with a circular saw and saw horses. As you progress you’ll realize how bad store bought lumber is, so you’ll need a way to dimension lumber. That means a planer and a jointer. Then you’ll debate between a bandsaw and a table saw, your choice. And the list goes on and on, but a router sure is handy (and you’ll want a router table for it), sanders (sheet, random orbit, belt), sanding station, drill press, etc. And don’t forget dust collection. Finally every shop should have a good sturdy workbench or assembly table. Good luck starting out, whatever you buy always put safety first – accidents happen fast.
