Thinking of doing something similar but was thinking of using gloss laminate instead of painting. But does anyone know where I can get them?

My kitchen cabs are white but there is a visible layer of clear….looking for something like that. Thanks

The clear on your cabinets may be a clear polyester finish. I believe it s a common finish for commercial cabinetry and especially so for kitchen cabinetry. Maybe someone else knows better, but this is what was used in a cabinet shop that did some work for me in the past. It s a pretty tough finish.

so white laminate n layer poly finish?

on that might you know where I can get white gloss veneer of laminate…cause if the gloss is good enough then I might get away with that.

thanks

Where did the white laminate come in? Also, polyester and polyurethane are very different. A polyester finish is a high solids finish. I don’t believe it’s very easy to apply without the proper knowhow and equipment.

You may want to search around the net to get some ideas on how to achieve what you’re intending to do.
