Hi friends

I have posted in the past saying I hit 20.000 comments and had a lot of feedback anywhere from "big deal" to "get a life" to "congrats" So I debated about saying anything this time when I'm about to hit the 50,000 comment mark but I thought it was a good opportunity to tell all of you how grateful I am for you sharing your projects, positive feedback and sometimes just telling my I'm wrong about any particular subject, regarding certain operations in woodworking or other wise . I try to be a positive force on Ljs but have had my off days like anyone,so to those I might have offended let's start anew.
One thing I think that is important is to make new folks feel welcome ,so may I suggest that you take some time and welcome new folks or even those who have not had any comments on the projects that they have posted, to me having things positive and encouraging others makes LJs a better place .
I'm glad there is a LJs to all share and learn together.

Jim

Jim,

I certainly have not read all of your 50,000 posts, but every post you provide is encouraging and/or helpful. I really appreciate your posts. Thank you for your great contributions to this forum.

Congratulaions Jim! Thanks for making LJs such a good place for woodworkers to keep coming back to for ideas, information and encouragement. I recall your welcome to me when I first signed on and the helpful comments since then. Thanks for staying involved and encouraging others to do the same.

Wow! I am brand new and figured it would take me 776.21 years to match those numbers! Ok, I'm loving the post and pictures of all the projects. I am going to post a few projects soon but stage fright keeps calling. Thanks all of you and this is a good site.

Congratulation Jim,

Like you I try to comment on as many projects as I can, as well as welcome as many new LJ's as I have time for, I am very appreciative of my fellow LJ's who take the time to comment on my projects, blogs and those of you who have welcomed me on my first day. Even if its not the greatest creation in the world take the time to let someone know they count, the same reason I do as much as I can.

I look forward to your next 50,000.

jim, i have always admired you because you seem to always take the time to comment on more projects than anyone. You always have something positive to say. It is encouraging and it feels good when you post a project and here some good feedback. Its good for moral and confidence. there is a lot of kowledge out there there in LJ land….it feels good to know there are always some good people on here to answer questions who support each other.

Jim, stay with it brother…you are a constant positive encouraging influence on me, and Im sure others as well. Speaking from someone who has participated in some other boards where being crappy to other posters becomes the norm, LJ's is different and you are a big part of that and I appreciate it.

well done I say. As someone who has only just joined, I was surprised to get a welcome message from just "normal" members. Other forums I have joined have only ever welcomed me with an automated response, the LJs users did immediately make me feel welcome and that I could ask any other questions.
