That’s going to be purely opinion. There are pros and cons of each. I’m fairly confident that the PM63 is built better, but the R4512 has some design advantages that the PM63 doesn’t have (inboard motor, riving knife). The R4512 has a cast blade shroud as an arbor carriage vs connecting rods on the PM63. Even though the wings are grated, I’d rather have them than the stamped steel wings. The PM’s fence is far better IMO.

It’s hard to go wrong with either at the prices you mentioned because you should be able to resell either for 100% (or then some).

Whether it’s worth merging the two saws is up to you, but it could be a good learning experience! I’d guess you could get $200+ out of the PM63 even with the Ridgid fence, wings (paint them mustard gold!), and motor on it.
