Around here Rockler normally has a sale once or twice per year where they bring in a huge amount of 4/4 cherry and sell for $3/bf. It is planed, kiln dried, straight, and knot free, but the boards are narrow, and it is the lightest colored cherry I have ever seen. And strangely it does not seem to darken at all over time like cherry normally does.
