I have the same saw but with the closed stand. This is virtually the same saw that is made by Jet today but is now painted white.

I have found many replacement parts at the link to ereplacementparts.com provided by syenefarmer. Also, this is a very similar saw design as made by other manufacturers and many of the parts fit across (Jet, Ridgid, Grizzly, Powermatic, Harbor Freight) so if you don’t find it for your particular model, you may be able to order a part that is in stock for one of the others.

Based on the above advice, and the availability of parts across manufacturers at ereplacementparts.com I’d be surprised if you weren’t able to get that saw in very good condition for a reasonable amount of money. I would try to see how flexible he is on the price however, considering the amount of time, money, and effort you will need to put into the machine to get it back up and running.
