I tend to just go to the project page and glance over everything until I find what I like. I try to friend people who do works that interest me so I can just follow the email link straight to it. As for the home page, at first it was interesting to see what was most popular, now it has become a game for me to try to figure out how they come up with the top 15. At first it seemed that those with the most views and comments ranked highest. Now I couldn’t even guess what gets you there.
