I once considered buying a ringmaster machine. A friend of mine had one and loaned it to me to try out. I found it to be not very accurate in the cutting of the rings. After making a few small bowls I learned what my friend said was true. After cutting and assembling bowls with the ringmaster you were less than 1/4 way finished. It takes hours of sanding to finish the bowl. I made two and gave the machine back to my friend. I dropped the whole idea of making bowls but I am sure I could do as good a job with a scroll saw …..if not better.
