In June 2007 I took a one-week class, curves and veneers, at Inside Passage School of Fine Woodworking near Vancouver, BC. It was a great time. I found Robert Van Norman to be a very nice guy with a good sense of humor, and a great teacher. They teach a nice blend or power and hand tools there. But the emphasis, at least in my class, was really on developing fine hand tool skills. The location is beautiful too. I highly recommend Inside Passage for anyone looking to improve their hand tool skills or interested in James Krenov’s methods of work. I plan to go back. -- johnjoiner |
