The planer is really dead, I believe a bearing failure lead to the pully attached to the planer head to bend and possibly its shaft. The motor still works fine. I estimate the cost of repairpricing out parts and doing it myself to be at leat $150.00. Its simply not worth it for an 8 year old planer with no guarentee it would work.
