I have never heard of etsy however as I have said before else where on this site you need to market your product and or items the standard way first, going to craft shows and the like. The internet is just a tool and you still need to do the hard yaka and standard marketing.

If people have never heard of the website then they are not going to visit and the way to get them to visit is by telling them at the craft shows, and markets, and fairs etc and start getting you name out there.

The way I would do it if I was selling anything I made, I would have a central website showing off your product with good crisp and clear clean photo’s… Then with a but click here to buy which takes you to the auction or shop site like eBay or (I assume) etsy. Then I would be attending every fair, craftshow, market place and woodworking show etc that I could. and try selling the old fashioned way… to get your name out there. People also usually like to see, (see the real colour in different lights, touch and lookand visualise the size of a product before they buy.

Ensure you have a card with your contact details (including your central website) on all the products you sell.
