Zindel, If you have a drill press it’s easy/easier to remove the chuck. I have always had an awful time removing the chucks on smaller drills – when I get them off they have to be replaced. (Gotta be doing it wrong I guess.) I would try leaving the hand drill chuck on first. Remove it if you have to. -Jack
