Thank you all! I used this site alot for a variety of questions I had. There is such a wealth of knowledge here and I appreciate all the input. Whether it was from a forum I asked questions on or others I read looking for information, it really made my project turn out great. I'm very new to all of this, and was a bit nervous to start.
The kids were thrilled, Mom was happy, and believe it or not I was more pleased than all of them. ( I kind of surprised myself I think.) I certainly couldn't have done it without all the great advice, and learning from the trial and error of others. (Had a few of my own as well.)
From start to finish, there were alot of great minds involved in these blanket chests. Even though I couldn't possibly remember each and every one of them, I just wanted to say thankyou! I had more fun than heartaches building these, and I'm anxious to get started on a few others.

Honestly in this day and age preserving the knowledge some of us have picked up from old timers, or from our old timers is very important. There will come a day when we need to be able to build our own things, and honestly, looking around, there are fewer and fewer of the really knowledgable old timers around. And it's very sad, but then the first great loss of knowledge in our country really was the civil war when the blue collar men went off to war and died in the millions.

The chests look great by the way

Thanks so much for the compliments. I'll work on putting them into my projects page.
I honestly had alot of help here, from so many forums. Literally from start to finish.

It's really nice to have them finished, and I didn't think I'd feel this way, but I'm ready for the next project.
I'll certainly be back for chat and advice. Thanks again.
