I’d go shorter, personally.

The reason long rails are used in cabinet shops is they cut 6’ plywood
pantry carcase parts on the saw using the fence. You can make the
same cut with a sliding table and a much more modest fence length
to the right.

This stuff is really all about the kind of work you do. You’ll have more
control and comfort when working full 4×8 sheets if you cut on a vertical
saw or with a track saw.
