im assuming you are referring to the “flutter” method of tensioning? i havent tried that way yet but its worth a shot. i have always used alex snodgrass’s method for setting up a bandsaw. order a new blade from highland woodworking today so we will see if that helps any as well. thanks for the help

Ok another question. If you don t have any of the lower or upper guides engaged at all, and you use the flicker technique to tension the blade will it stay put at any position on the wheel?

My gut says if that one blade spins true you don t have a wheel alignment issue. I also stand by factory blades from griz are crap.
